Marie holds a Bachelor degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent in Canterbury, and is currently completing a Master’s degree in European Affairs in Sciences Po Lille.
In the past few years, she has developed a strong interest in topics related to democracy and citizenship, and more particularly to the European Citizens’ Initiative mechanism. This is one of the reasons why she decided to do a short internship at the European Citizen Action Service, supporting the set up an helpdesk for ECI organisers.
Moreover, she is involved in several societies aiming to bring the EU closer to its citizens, including JEF and Visions of Europe. Among other things, she is managing in Lille the “Europe à l’école” programme, organizing interventions in schools to explain the functioning of the European Union to young people (from 7 to 17).
She is fluent in French and English, with intermediate Spanish and beginner Dutch."
