Imre was born and raised in Hungary. He is studying Politics and East European Studies at University College London, where he is currently the president of the UCLU Masaryk Society, a society for students who are interested in Central and Eastern Europe. 

He is interested in social justice, education, environmental policy, critical social theory and gender studies. Apart from his studies, he is involved in activism, in various struggles such as feminism, and LGBT liberation.
In his spare time he enjoys hiking and backpack traveling.


He hopes that: "one day we will see a united Europe which no longer sees itself as a fortress under siege, a Europe which is an inclusive, free and just political community."
