Fábio is from Trancoso, a small city in the countryside of Portugal, but he claims to be a world citizen. For him living abroad “is the way to comprehend other cultures, a process of sharing and learning new experiences that will permit me to understand better the complex world where we live”.

He holds a bachelor in International Relations from the Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas in Lisbon and participated in theErasmus Programme in Istanbul, a city that he now considers his second home.

Fábio is now enrolled at the Global Studies Masters Programme at University of Gothenburg, as he believes that “our globalised world needs more cooperation, we need to growth sustainable for a greener future and our societies need to be more tolerant and respect our differences, as we are now more globally interconnected”.

In 2014 he was volunteer in a youth association through theEuropean Voluntary Service,during three months and half he lived in Skopje. It was also during this period that he joined OneEurope.

Fábio has done two internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, the first at the Consulate General of Portugal in Paris and in 2017 at the Embassy of Portugal in Windhoek as Trade and Economic Attaché, but also responsible for cooperation affairs.
