Dra. Susana Beltran Garcia is a Senior Lecturer of Public International Law in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She has articles published on many topics, including: the Autonomy of European Regions and Local Entities, Federalism, Territorial Cooperation and Human Rights, among others.
She has spoken on the subject of Europe at several international conferences, two of these include: a Political Conference on the European Confederation of Local Intermediate Authorities (CEPLI) and at the Postgraduate Program on International Relations of the UNESP, Unicamp and PUC/SP in Brasil.
About her motivation to contribute to the European debate she says:
"Now is a crucial time for the European Union and its future will be shaped not only by politicians but also by the European citizens. For that reason, I considered it to be important to contribute to the dialogue about Europe amongst the general public, as well as among academic readers."
