Anna is from Thessaloniki,
Greece. She has studied Law, English and French Philology
and she holds an Master of Arts in Translation. She works as a scientific associate
for the Greek Ministry of Education in responsibility of European programmes and
as a freelance legal translator. She writes fiction in her free time and two of
her works have been published. She is a proficient speaker of English and
French, a fluent speaker of Spanish and German.
About his motivation for working on the project, she says:
"Overall, I am an enthusiast
for the European Union and a keen supporter of the common European values and
ideals. Feel free to think free".
There once was a saying that there is no news in August. The Greek reality seems to doubt that saying. August is full of news of critical importance.
The new parliamentary elections have been already declared for September and following the Greek, as well as the foreign press, there is a growing uncertainty about “what comes next” on all levels.
He looks at his handcuffs. “I have never been handcuffed before”, he says in his broken English. “I am a doctor, I am a scientist. You are supposed to be a democratic country; I have taken the Hippocratic oath”.
