IEA, UN World Environment Day aims to raise awareness of unsustainable consumption.

The human race consumes resources which are the equivalent of 1.5 planets.

This means it now takes one year and six months for the Earth to regenerate what we use in a year.

World Environment Day (WED) is the United Nations’ campaign for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly to mark the opening of the 1972 Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment.

This year’s theme for WED is: "Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care". It expresses the challenge of creating opportunities for inclusive and sustainable economic development while attempting to stabilize the rate of resource use and reduce environmental impacts.

Do you think we are consuming too much?

How can this be changed?

Are the EU and European countries doing enough for the environment?
