Considering the current situation in Ukraine, there is no surprise if many people devastated by a pointless conflict would prefer to leave the country. And if they will, they will meet plenty of their fellow-citizens abroad, because Ukrainians are the leaders in emigration among Eastern Partnership countries. The infographic designed by Eastbook.eu shows the numbers of former Soviet citizens who left their homelands to search for better luck abroad.

The authors of the infographic revealed not solely the number of emigrants, but also the amount of money (in $) transferred to the target countries from abroad. And it is obvious that these numbers basically do not have to do anything with each other! Just have a look at Belarus and compare it with other countries.

What explanation could be found for this phenomenon?

Do you think that the emigration from Eastern Partnership countries will increase with the growing tension in Ukraine?
