In the last several months there has been a great focus of the media on the coming EP elections next year. Probably because there's more at stake now than ever before. The whole direction of the Union is in our hands, the European citizens, and is to be settled by the winning parties.

The political majority that emerges from the elections will not only determine the policies pursued by the European parliament, but also the commission president. For the first time these could be genuine "European" elections.

There have been many scenarios over who will win, but one thing is certain. For EU to emerge stronger from the crisis it needs a good turnout, with a legitimate parliament ready to tackle the economic problems and set the direction for the 21st century realities.

So, why will YOU go to vote?

What changes do you want to see and what are your main expectations from the next EU leadership?
