There can be no transfer of wealth and income to the elderly without a number large enough of younger workers who generate income and wealth that can be transferred.

Throughout Europe, however, we're increasing our life spans while "phasing down" on reproduction, which is fatal.

What can be done to defend our way of life, our values (like solidarity throughout the generations), while demographic developments are unfavorable towards age-60-retirement systems? Is the solution population growth? What can be learned from examples like France, or Turkey on that matter?

Or if our planet already is too crowded, where can our system evolve to? What about such ideas like focus on health span instead of life span? Or Basic income guarantee?
