Credit to European Commission

The EU Aid Volunteers is an initiative provided by European Commission which will offer opportunities for European volunteers to work on humanitarian projects worldwide. Between 2015 and 2020 there it will be more than 18000 opportunities for those interested to establish European standards for volunteering and to deliver needs-based humanitarian aid.

This initiative will:

  • Offer Europeans opportunities to show solidarity with those who most need it.
  • Provide professional support by well-prepared volunteers to people in need.
  • Benefit local organizations with capacity-building measures.

Also, there it will be 10000 online volunteering experiences for people outside and inside Europe.

4400 volunteers and NGO staff from third countries will participate in the capacity building.

€147.9 million of EU funding includes 41% of deployment, 55% of building capacity and training and 4% of networking and communication.
