Since 1945, more than 10,000 people have lost their lives in 760 fatal aviation accidents in the US.
Russia comes second with 304 accidents and Canada comes third with 169.
Apart from Russia, the UK and France are the only European countries to appear in the top ten of this list, occupying the sixth and the seventh positions respectively.
