An awful tragedy shocked Romania after a club caught fire in Bucharest during a rock concert on Friday night after pyrotechnic effects went wrong. 31 people have lost their lives in the terrible accident so far and more than 140 are treated in the hospitals of the capital city. Most of them were teenagers and in their early 20's.

Thousands of people all around the country have created huge lines at the regional hospitals to donate blood for the surviving victims. However, officials say it is possible the number of fatalities could double in the next few days, most patients suffering from severe burns and intoxication from the heavy smoke.

The government has declared three days of national mourning starting Saturday and assured the citizens that the investigations will not stop until everyone responsible for the accident will be held accountable.

Numerous heads of states and artists around the world stated their solidarity with the families of the victims, including the famous DJ Markus Schulez which declared that he will stop using any kind of pyrotechnic effects during his shows from now on so this kind of tragedies can never happen again.
